About MSL

MISSION STATEMENT

Through body language, facial expression, rhythm and melody, we teach music as one of many means of non-verbal communication. In our workshops we avoid the use of words, which we've found over-complicate and slow down instruction-giving, engagement, learning and fun. We are dedicated to bringing diverse peoples together in order to collaborate in and demonstrate our similarities. Multi-lingual, -cultural, and -generational groups excite us the most, but everyone is encouraged to get in touch for a workshop.

"From the outset, [the educator's] efforts must coincide with those of the students to engage in critical thinking and the quest for mutual humanization.  His efforts must be imbued with a profound trust in men and their creative power.  To achieve this, he must be a partner of the students in his relations with them."

~  Paulo Freire
